our kids are involved in "homeschool" but they received v-day cards from friends!

Let's hear it for our boys

I couldn't be more proud of our oldest. he has shown much resposibilty this past weekend.  I love looking for opportunites of "leaving him in charge" even if it is just for 5 minutes. i gave him numurous chances to watch over three of his 4 siblings and he did it!! the accomplihment he felt was great to see! it's all about litle steps.

And for our second boy: he received(they all did) academic Excellence for the second time this homeschool year!

Lets hear it for our boys!

on Valentines my husband took our 4 oldest to the store to buy flowers for me, i had some time to myself with our youngest. as i was cleaning the cupboards he was right there handing me the pots and pans when i asked.  when i was about finished and the floor was in need of a sweep..he got REALLY upset when i wouldn't let him help...so i handed him the broom and left the the room. bless his heart he began to sweep. I've said this about him before but he is such a helper even at the age of two. there will be days when he  will go and grab a wipe and begin to wipe the table, walls and even the T.V. Screen. At one point i captures this moment above...he had grabbed the baby JEsus, Mary, Joseph and the rest of the "Gang" and had placed them in one of the pop out tent the kids have.... as he sat their and played he was humming a song! i could hardly believe me ears! I just couldn't find it in my heart to tell him to stop playing with Jesus and put it back on the shelf! Just didn't seem right to hear those words come out of my mouth =0) This had become my prayer for him.....

As he grows, he will grow into his fleshly heart and be one who will serve with his whole heart and that he will be set apart for God's work.  That as he gets older he will make time to get away to be alone with his Jesus!  we love you so much Matthew!

I have fallen in love with Pinterest! It is such a fun place to find ideas!

i saw this on my friends FAcebook account and i just had to try it on my daughters hair for dance class!
it was perfect for Valentines day! but now i think we will be doing it more often.

My Scrpture this week comes with two pictures... one fromt his morning at church and one from the 10th. 

"Psalm 121: 

5 The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Thankful for a God that doesn't sleep.  He never gets tired of hearing my voice(or yours). He is always RIGHT her beside me (and you).

My God is in control! i just need to step aside and let him be!

10 0n 10 in Feb

For those who are new around here...this challenge is fun on the 10th of every month you take ten photos and then share them! you should try it next month!

i was up earlier then this, but just couldn't get it together..it was COLD today and all the kids were still sleeping at 7:00 so i grabbed some HOT tea and toast and headed back to bed, but not for long....

I have to explain before we go any further.  

I do school at home.. we go through Connections Academy.

Though our kids love it, there are days  when they do nothing but complain whenever it is their

turn to do some work.  

I have been planning this day out for awhile now forgetting that is was the 10th. 

The boys were up and ready to "go" to school by  7:45.  We did "school" from 7:45 -3:00 with a few very short breaks. so most of these photos are just of our day doing school.

The lesson I was trying to teach them was this: 

They have it easy!

Not sure who was more tortured by it, them or myself! LOL

our oldest is in an advanced readers class which starts at 8:00 via Internet.

My hubby took our other three children to the store to grocery shop, so that my plan would go smoothly

I think this was the most fun all 4 of them had.

(He is one that would rather sleep any where BUT his bed!)!

Although it would have been nice to just cuddle up next to him and just take a nap!

But i still have 2 more hours to do with the girls!
