Good morning girls devotion

here is what i read this morning  


7 Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people - free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! 8 He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, 9 letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, 10 a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth. 


This is what i came away with: Because of Jesus' death on the cross, no more preists have to go before God in my place.  In the old Bible times Priests would take an animal to the alter lay his hands on the animal and confess all the peoples sins.  Then and only after the animal shed it's blood would God forgive. As God saw this obedience, he would forgive the people of their sins. i know bloody story, right? but it was the only way God would forgive. TODAY i am so thankful that I in my weakness can go to God the Father and ask him myself to forgive me of my sin. The bible does say that without the shedding of Bled there is no forgiveness of  sin (Hebrews 9:22 )
Jesus shed his blood on the cross to cover my sins, I am forgiven, IF and ONLY IF i ask for it.  just because JEsus died, shedding his blood, and came back to life DOES not mean i am saved. and have the hope of eternity.  I must ask for it.  God wants to forgive , He wants to hear our voices, our hearts, will you talk with him today?
