God is so great and knows our every need!! if you have a need and it looks IMPOSSIBLE rest assure that nothing is impossible for God and that he takes care of those who truly LOVE him!
the story of this valentines must be told from a testimony that started almost 4 years ago! we had two boys and were pregnant with our 3rd pregnancy. Jacob and i went into the hospital for our ultra sound trying to figure out just how we were going to get 3 kids to fit into out Saturn. we knew it was going to be tight but we could fit all three kids!
fast forward a few hours... we were headed home knowing we were not going to be able to fit all 4 of our kids into our Saturn!! God has humor!! but we both had peace that God was going to take care of us and we would make do with what God gave us! this meant making two trips to church EVERY Sunday just so all of us would get to church! and not being able to take "family trips" not even to the grocery store! BUT God had a plan!
every time someone would ask us," don't you think you need a bigger vehicle?" we would simply say,God has a plan and he knows our need and will supply it in his timing.
6 months later, someone GAVE us a Ford Windstar, ( when i say GAVE i mean gave it to us) they paid it in full and handed us the title! PRAISE GOD!! people were amazed at how God answered our prayer!! we knew he would supply it!
fast forward 3 1/2 years later.
we have been praying that God would give us a vehicle that we all could safely ride in. Josiah has been a little squished sitting between two care seats and i always feared that if we were in an accident he would get seriously hurt. he could reach the floor when sitting back and was buckled in, he was just tight! so I've been praying that we could be able to buy a vehicle for a certain price. We have been saving money for a van and new when it was the right timing we would have enough money to purchase one and not have payments!
we have been looking and looking and just didn't have peace about any of the vans.
Saturday morning I found Jacob on line looking at vans....he found one that matched what we knew we could spend...he called the dealership and we were in the van headed to purchase it within an hours time.
The plan was for us to look at it pray and let God lead us as to the next step.
I took all five kids out to eat while Jacob talked to "Stan" from the dealership. Jacob took it for a test drive Loved it! but noticed that their wasn't much gas in it. So "Stan took it out to get gas in it. On the way to the gas station the van died! Praise Jesus that it didn't die while Jacob was testing it. They got gas in it and noticed the battery light was coming on.
by this time i was headed back to the dealership with the kids.
i asked Jacob what was going on and if we were getting it or what(knowing in my heart it was the can or us). and that is when he told me that they were going to change the battery and that we would have to come back Monday to get it. and that they would knock more money off it because we would have to come back =0) however God chooses to bless, right!?
some testimony's from this whole experience:
1. God's timing is perfect!
2. thankful that the gas tank was on empty. this allowed for the battery to die while a personal from the dealership was driving it and NOT while Jacob was driving home with it!!
3. i truly believe that God had this van just for us! "Stan" does not understand why this van was still on the lot! it had been there since November. and they had numerous families coming in looking for vans this size!
4. The price was marked at a great price that makes me even more sure that God was "hiding" it from other buyers!
